New Installations
By law all new electrical installations must be carried out and certified by a qualified electrian. This includes things like fititng a new consumer unit, or even adding a new circuit to an existing unit. In such cases the following steps are taken by SWES.
We like to meet our clients before any work commences to discuss the implications of work to be carried out.
Within a week we will visit the site to make drawings and take measurments
A full report with details of electrical work to be carried out will be issued to be signed by the client.
On the agreed date work will commence - the relevant electrical supply will be isolated.

Existing installations/ small works
Even small electrical work should be carried out safely by a qualified electrician. At SWES we are happy to provide electrical help with any job, however small - such as new light fittings or electrical sockets on existing circuits.
All work carried out on existing installations will be tested and you will be issued with a small works certificate.
In England ANY electrical work carried out in a 'special place' such as a bathroom must be carried out by a qualified electrician and fully certified.
